General Job Description & Purpose
The Ministry Assistant to the Executive Pastor provides essential administrative, organizational,
and ministry support to further the mission of Tabernacle Baptist Church: Connecting People to
Christ. This role enhances the effectiveness of the Executive Pastor by managing
communication, scheduling, curriculum, logistics, and event coordination across ministries under
his leadership—including Family Ministry, College/Young Adults, and Classic Adults.
This position plays a key behind-the-scenes role in helping these ministries thrive, supporting the
church’s four priorities: worship, fellowship, discipleship, and outreach.Responsibilities & Duties
Administrative Support
• Manage the Executive Pastor’s calendar, including scheduling meetings with staff, volunteers, and ministry teams.
• Prepare materials for weekly staff meetings.
• Monitor and follow up on ministry communication.
• Organize and maintain ministry resources.
Group & Curriculum Support
• Order, track, and distribute curriculum for Life Groups and discipleship ministries.
• Maintain curriculum inventory and ensure leaders receive materials on time.
• Communicate with group leaders to provide updates, resources, and encouragement.
• Assist with onboarding and communication for new Life Group leaders.
• Ensure attendance and ministry data are kept up to date.
Ministry Operations & Logistics
• Coordinate logistics for seasonal events and initiatives.
• Handle registration, room setup, materials, communication, and event promotion.
• Support volunteer onboarding, training, scheduling, and team coordination.
Other Duties
• Attend staff and family ministry meetings as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Pastor.
Qualifications
• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the mission, vision, and values of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to learn scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and document management (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office), Planning Center Online and other ministry platforms.

Accountability
This position will report to Executive Pastor – Discipleship & Groups.
Strong collaborative element necessary in working with Family Ministry.
Work Schedule
32 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday

General Job Description & Purpose
The Preschool Ministry Coordinator exists to connect preschoolers and their families to their ultimate purpose in Christ at Tabernacle Baptist Church. This position will lead programs and ministries to promote discipleship, worship, outreach, and fellowship in age-appropriate ways for preschoolers, families and volunteers in the ministry.

Responsibilities & Duties 

Preschoolers & Parents: 
• Equip parents as primary disciplers with resources and training, build relationships through ministry care, and counsel children for spiritual growth. 
• Develop relationships with parents and preschoolers and provide ministry care including Newborn baby visits, child birthdays, guests follow up, sickness and family needs. 

Volunteers & Paid Childcare Staff: 
• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers while building relationships and offering support. 
• Schedule paid childcare team for events & approve time sheets. Curriculum & Bible Teaching: 
• Select an appropriate curriculum for preschoolers of various ages that aligns with the beliefs of TBC.  Collaborate with other ministry leaders for special events/programs. 
• Provide and maintain the appropriate resources (Resource room) needed for ministry

Safety: 
• Ensure top safety standards in preschool ministry with volunteer screening, proper ratios, safe equipment, cleanliness, emergency procedures, and secure check-in. 

Budget: 
• Submit budget requests each year to meet needs of the ministry plan. 
• Purchase ministry supplies as needed and maintain records of purchases. Special events: 
• Host special events for preschool discipleship, fellowship, outreach, and worship, using seasonal gatherings to engage families and unchurched communities while collaborating with other TBC ministries. 

TBC Staff Collaboration 
• Attend weekly staff meeting, Bi-weekly Family Ministry Meeting Weekday Preschool Ministry: 
• Work in cooperation with Weekday Director for shared space & resources. Professional & Spiritual: 
• Grow as a disciple of Christ, pursue kids’ ministry training, stay updated on trends, and network with ministry leaders.

Qualifications
•Strong organizational and communication skills.
•Proficient in ProPresenter, Canva (or similar design tools), and Google Workspace.
•Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
•Team-oriented attitude with a heart for ministry and serving students.
•Flexible schedule to include Wednesday evenings, occasional weekends, and events.

Accountability
This position will report to the Connections Director.

Work Schedule
25 hours per week. Including Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Employee and family must be members of Tabernacle or willing to become members.
