About our Weekday Program:
Established in 1964, Tabernacle Weekday Preschool is an outreach program of Tabernacle Baptist Church. The purpose of the preschool is to offer families in our community a program that combines the highest standards in early childhood education within a Christian environment where children can grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Tabernacle Weekday Preschool operates from August until May.
We are a half-day program, Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 12:00pm. Kindergarten is from 8:30am – 12:30pm. For our working parents, we offer an Early Morning Room that opens at 7:45am.
We offer classes for ages toddlers (15 months-walking) through kindergarten.

Entrance Requirements
A Certificate of Immunization 3231 is required for all students and is due by the first day of school. A Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental & Nutrition Screening (form 3300) is also required for Kindergarten. Children must have attained class age on or before September 1st of the school year.
Class Options:
Toddler/Two Year Old
The Toddler/Two year old program helps your child gain self-confidence through fun, delightful play. Children begin to build their language skills through Bible stories, games, and weekly music classes. They are also introduced to colors, basic shapes, and number concepts as well as social skills and daily routines that they will need to make the most of our “Early Preschool” program. We offer two day classes for toddlers. There are three and five day classes available for the two year olds. Toddlers must be 15 months old and walking to attend.
Threes
The three year old program develops social and emotional skills children need to learn effectively. Children are introduced basic alphabet concepts, numbers 1-15, colors, and shapes. Activities are in place to build fine motor skills necessary for prewriting. Daily bible concepts are taught through stories and hands on activities. Music and art classes are taught weekly. Three and five day classes are available. Three year old students must be potty trained.
Pre-Kindergarten/Fours
The Pre-K program develops skills that will prepare your child for Kindergarten. We teach from the phonics based, A Beka Curriculum. Children are taught letters, letter sounds, and blending of sounds to form words. Numbers and shapes are reinforced through fun and developmentally appropriate methods. Writing skills are taught daily. The Bible is taught through songs, stories, and bi-weekly Chapel services. The children also attend music and art on a weekly basis. There are three day and five day classes available.
Kindergarten
The Kindergarten program utilizes the phonics based, A Beka curriculum. Hands-on and structured learning experiences are designed to expand language skills, increase math skills, and also increase readiness concepts. Science, social studies, reading, sight words, and creative writing are taught daily. The Bible is taught on a daily basis through stories, memory verses, and prayer time. The children attend weekly music and art classes. Chapel is on a bi-weekly basis. Kindergarten is from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday through Friday.
