A Note From Joseph

Thank you for your attendance and worship leadership this past Sunday. We had great attendance even on a holiday weekend! Thank you for your faithfulness and dedication. Thank you Kimberly Human and Ashlee Bagnell for your songs and a job well done. I’m looking forward to singing “Psalm 46 (Lord of Hosts)” again with you this Sunday. Our Small Group will also be leading and offering up a special song.

We’ll have choir practice tomorrow evening. Again, we’ll start with the men at 6:45pm. Be sure to invite the men you know to join us for that! We’ll have this special Men’s Choir rehearsal 2 more times before they sing on Father’s Day,  May 28 &  June 11. It’s really for Males of all ages, from granddads to grandsons, bring them all! Check out those links for help with the parts!

Then, Ladies, you can come in at 7pm for choir rehearsal. Ashlee will be set up in the lobby to check you in and give out name tags early.

Keep June 25th on your calendar for our Worship Ministry Banquet, “Taco ‘bout a Great Worship Ministry!”. It will be a fun time of fellowship and celebrating YOU and what God has done among us over the past year!

Worship Team Auditions

We are looking to add more members to our Worship Teams and it's been decided that we will hold auditions on Wednesday, June 11th during rehearsal. Auditions will be simple:
1. You will answer a few questions
2. You will need to prepare 1-2 minutes of any song you would like (acapella)
3. We will have you sing your part to the chorus of "As For Me and My House"

The Worship Ministry Team will act as our panel but Joseph will be making the final decisions. More information will be provided at rehearsal, but feel free to reach out with questions through planning center or by responding to this email.

Worship Team Qualifications and Explanations:
What Worship Teams Do:
  • Worship teams lead by example not only musically but with their daily manner of Christian living.
  • Worship Teams sing for a month at a time, and rotate months throughout the year.
  • Worship Teams are self-learners and put in personal practice time at home.
  • Worship Teams are willing to come in early on Sundays for additional preparation when needed, as determined by the Worship Pastor. (Typically, the first Sunday of each month at 8:15 a.m.)
Who Can Serve on the Worship Team:
  • Worship teams must meet certain qualifications just as other jobs in the church body:
    • Must be a member of the church for at least 1 year.
    • Must be in 9th grade or older and must have reliable transportation to rehearsals and services.
    • Must be a faithful member of the choir. (attending at least 75% of rehearsals and services.) (We will work with those who serve in other ministries during Sunday mornings as long as you can cover both services during your month to sing.)
    • Must have a sense of God’s calling to serve in this role.
    • Must complete a Music Interview with the Worship Ministry Team. (June 11 at 7pm)
    • Must attend an annual Worship Team Workshop. (two will be offered this year, July 20th at 2pm or July 30th at 7pm)
    • Must be able to sing your vocal part, as one of your purposes will be to give support to the choir.
    • Dress appropriately and have a joyful countenance.
    • Able to serve with an attitude of gratefulness, flexibility and humility.
