Thank you Choir and Orchestra for faithfully sharing your gifts with our church each week in order to glorify God together. And thank you, Morgan Shaw, for a job well done on your song!
Our Booth Service trial run happened this past Sunday with very positive feedback. I just want to say a BIG thank you to the musicians and A/V team members who are helping make that happen. As we grow and fill up our Worship Center in the B Hour, this will provide a quality time of worship for many of our members who are willing to attend there, making room for visitors and guests. We want to keep connecting people to Christ, so we must overcome our limits. I appreciate Pastor Patrick's foresight in seeing the need for this provision in enough advance for us to make preparations. Keep praying for our church leaders as we all strive to press forward in God’s mission.
Delayed Rehearsal: On August 27th, FamBlitz and Student/Parent Gathering will be taking place from 6-7:30pm. Many of you will need to be involved in those, so we will delay Choir and Orchestra rehearsals to 7:30 or as quickly afterwards as possible to allow for those events. I would encourage all parents and grandparents of children and teens to participate! Sounds like a fun night.
Don’t forget we are offering Tech help on Wednesdays in August prior to rehearsal beginning at 6:15pm. If you need help navigating the “Music Stand” or “Services” app, join us!
A couple of other requests:
- Don’t forget to forget the strong perfumes, colognes, and body sprays on Sunday mornings as we must squeeze a lot of people into a very tight space, and some of us may struggle with allergies that are affected by such fumes.
- As we are being mindful of guests, we have been asked to, where possible, avoid saving seats in the worship center while singing in the choir, as our greeters are struggling to help guests find seating. What a great problem to have! If you need to reserve seats, go for the ones that nobody wants, like the front rows, or the side wings of the balcony, or the ones furthest from the entrance doors. Orchestra, if you can simply remain seated in the pit, that is also helpful. Some of you already do these things, and we are thankful.
This coming Sunday, we’ll be singing for the first time, our new arrangement of “Blessed Assurance!” I’m looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night at 6:45pm.
God Bless!
Joseph
