A Note From Joseph

Dear Choir and Orchestra,

You bless our church family each and every week. You may never know all the ways you do so, but every once in a while,  we get a glimpse. I just had a story shared with me about how our songs helped touched the lives of some of the men that join us each week from Hickory Log Personal Care home. It was very moving, and I’m reminded once again, that God uses His people to bless His people. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed hearing you sing “Psalm 40” this past week. I know it was a little challenging, but now that you’ve got it, we’ll have to sing it again soon for any who missed it!

Let me also take an opportunity to thank our musicians and production team that serves faithfully at the Booth service each week. Those teams are led by Hagan Fulmer and Alecia Mathis. It is a sacrifice and they are putting in much effort to make it happen. Thank them when you see them. They are doing a fantastic job!

I hope to see everyone at rehearsal Wednesday night at 7:15pm. It’s time to really buckle down and get these Christmas songs prepared! If you still don’t know how to use the apps to help you with that prep, please seek us out for a quick tutorial. You can come by during the week even, for a chance to receive more guidance if necessary.

Sunday we sing, “Jesus Saves”. Don’t forget about all the extra activities surrounding Go Weekend. Come be a part!

Blessings!
Joseph

Some Important Dates
  • November 19th - We will have a combined WC & O Christmas rehearsal in the worship center @7:30. This will be after the community Thanksgiving Service.
  • November 24th - This is the MONDAY before Thanksgiving. We will rehearse at 6:30
  • December 9th - Christmas Dress Rehearsal @ 6:45 PM (We know there are lots of school events this day, just let us know if you can't make it)
  • December 10th  -  Christmas Dress Rehearsal @ 7:15
  • December 13 & 14 - Here With Us @ 6PM

An amazing opportunity has come up for us to partner with our Champions of Light ministry this Christmas! The members of COL will be acting out our nativity narration in "The First Christmas" during Here with Us in December and we are so excited!

This does call for a little bit of extra prep on all of our parts to make sure that the COL folks feel prepared and welcome at Christmas. An important step we're taking is giving the COL team a preview of "The First Christmas." We will do this by hosting an event called "Carols and Cocoa" on Thursday, November 13th @ 6:30 where we will have the opportunity to worship together with Christmas Carols and then the choir and orchestra will run through "The First Christmas" while COL observes. We will follow this up with hot chocolate and cookies in the coffee area outside the worship center. Childcare will not be provided, however, your children are welcome to join us to sing carols and enjoy the cocoa and cookies!

Please let Ashlee know if you have any questions!

Choir Care Groups

We are starting Care Groups this year! Each member of our worship team will be assigned a small care group so that we can foster relationships, learn how to pray for each other, and take care of our choir family. Below is a list of each care group and their leaders. Your leader will receive your contact information and will reach out soon! The youth members are not included in this list - it was a little too complicated logistically to include minors.
If you have any questions, please let Ashlee or Joseph know!

Wednesday Night Transition Team

We need you tomorrow! Be ready to start the transition at 6PM!

Worship Ministry Life Group

We will dismiss to room 108 (First hallway on the right after the coffee station) for Life Group after worship in the 9 AM service.

Sunday Mornings

Choir, Please be sure to be in the loft 10-15 minutes before the start of the service so we can get everyone placed.

Perfumes and Colognes

Please have mercy on our choir members who suffer from allergies by avoiding perfumes, body sprays, and cologne on Sundays.

Parking and Seating in the Worship Center

Help us accommodate visitors by parking off-campus if you're physically able and refraining from saving seats in the Worship Center
